STUDENTS’ COUNSELLING

With a view to help children to identify their learning difficulties and solve them by providing assistance, the school has initiated regular counselling sessions for students on all Thursdays. Fr. Thomas Mathilakathu CMI conducts the counseling sessions. In a fast changing society and situations, it become a necessity that students know about themselves and the world around, in order to cope up with the life situations. Counselling also helps students to identify and rectify various behavioral problems.

FOR A BETTER VISION!

An Eye Screening Camp for the students was organized in the school by Vasan Eye Care Hospital on 24th, 25th and 28th of June 2013. Students from classes 1-10 attended the camp. Eye screening was done both manually and by using AR machine. Students who were identified with defective vision were advised to go for further treatment




PTA GENERAL BODY

PTA General body was conducted on 22nd June. Mr. Rajan Kollamparampil was elected The PTA President and Mrs. Bincy Seban PTA Vice-President, for the academic year 2013-’14 

HEALTH IS WEALTH!

Rainy season is a season of epidemics and diseases too. So it becomes very important to keep oneself and the premises neat and tidy. With this view, the Social Service Department of CMI St. Joseph’s Province Kottayam published a pamphlet, making the students aware of keeping the premises clean. Fr. Mathew Kareethara CMI, Principal released the pamphlet on 21st June in a gathering of students from classes 5-8. Students were given a copy each.



 

NEW GARDEN FOR THE BLOOMING BUDS OF CHAVARA!

Reopening of KG classes and blessing of new KG building was scheduled on 19th June. Irrespective the heavy rain, parents, students and teachers eagerly awaited to witness the function. Fr. Mathew Kareethara CMI welcomed the gathering. Fr. Joseph Ayathamattm CMI, Manager blessed the building. Since the construction work of the building was not complete due to adverse climate, the function was arranged in a simple manner.

CORPORATE MERIT DAY

Corporate Merit Day was held on 14th June 2013. Fr. Philip Nechikkattil CMI, Corporate Manager, welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. Keynote address was given by, Dr.A.V. George, Vice Chancellor, M.G. University, the chief guest of the function. Rev. Fr. Joseph AyathamattamCMI, Manager and Shri. Shaju.S. Paleethottam Principal-in-charge, St. Anne’s H.S.S. Kurianad gave felicitations. The meritorious students and their parents were honored in the function.

MERIT DAY !

Meritorious students of Chavara Public School were honored on 18th June 2013. Very.Rev.Fr. Jose Panthaplamthottiyil CMI, Prior General, CMI congregation lighted the lamp and delivered the keynote address. Fr. Joseph Ayathamattam CMI, manager of Chavara CMI Public School was the president of the function.  Fr. Mathew Kareethara CMI, Principal, Chavara Public School gave the result overview. Fr. Principal expressed his sincere gratitude to the teachers, students and parents helping him to bring such a wonderful result. The school toppers were specially honored in the function.












MY JOURNEY TO SUCCESSFUL LIFE!

The new Plus one batch of the school went through an orientation programme on 11th June. Mr. Mathew Kanamala and Mrs. Reena James (Mrs. Kanamala) organized the programme named ‘My journey to successful life’. The resource persons spent time with the students sharing valuable thoughts and their own personal experiences. Simple games were also organized in between various sessions.

PLUS-ONE TAKES CHARGE!

   Commencement of new Plus one batch was organised on 10th June 2013. Senior students welcomed their juniors with the celebration of ‘kalabham charthal’. Fr. Sabu Koodappattu CMI, Administrator, welcomed the gathering of parents and students. Fr. Joseph Ayathamattam CMI, manager, lighted the candle and then addressed the gathering. Fr. Principal wished his students to become Great, rather than to become Good.

DEDICATION OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR!

Dedication of the academic year was organized in the school on 4 June 2013. Fr. Joseph Ayathamattam CMI, manager of Chavara Public SChool lighted the candle. In the ‘Offertory session’ Students brought on to the stage text books and note books, instrument box, guitar, violin, laptop, basket ball and uniform to represent their dedication to God Almighty.  After the Benediction by Fr. Joseph Ayathamattam CMI (Manager), Fr. Sabu Kodappattu CMI (Administrator) and Fr. Mathew Kareethara CMI (Principal), students lined up behind lighted candles and marched to their respective classes with their class teachers. The dedication of academic year and Offertory marked a bright beginning of the academic year.









ENGLISH TEACHERS’ (CLASSES 1-8) TRAINING PROGRAMME

English Teachers’ training programme was conducted in the school on 13.05.2013 (Monday) and 14.05.2013 (Tuesday). Classes were organized by Oxford University Publications. Mrs. Sakti Devi Sridhar, the resource person for Oxford
university Press organized the classes. She was assisted by Mr.Sumy Jose, Area Sales Executive, OUP. The classes were enriched with Multimedia presentation, activities and games
